Ephesians 6

Ephesians 6:11-20 says, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (methods) of the devil. v.11

Verse 11 tells us that we are going to be attacked by the devil. In I Peter 5:8-11 it says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: v.8 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. v.9 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered (Suffering is when you are tempted by the devil.) a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. v.10 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." v.11

Continuing on in Ephesians 6, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Our wrestling match is not against any person.), but against principalities (governments - every organization has a government), against powers (Satan's abilities), against the rulers (authorities) of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. v.12 In every instance we are wrestling with the devil.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (overcome all) v.13

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth (John 17:17 says, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."), and having on the breastplate of righteousness (Righteousness is by faith and walking in obedience to the Spirit of God.); v.14

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; v.15

Paul states in Romans 1:9 that he serves God with his spirit in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. v.16

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: v.17

The word of God, spoken by the Spirit, is our weapon. Ephesians 3:10 states, "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God," In verse 10 it tells us that we speak to the principalities and powers in heavenly places the wisdom of God. Wisdom is the skill of God. God has showed me and led me to use the Internet as an effective tool against the methods of the devil.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; v.18

All prayer includes praise, thanksgiving, worship, command, intercession, and petition. Supplication is asking for grace in all of these types of prayers. Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

Psalm 145:8-9 states, "The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. v.8 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works." v.9

Ephesians 6 continued, And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, v.19

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." v.20

God bless you,
