What We Believe
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit of God is saying.
Water of Life Church of Plano, Inc. is a Christian organization doing the
works of Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (v 12)
Jesus Christ left instructions to His Church through the eleven apostles before He ascended into heaven. These instructions are recorded in Matthew 28:18-20;
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (v18)
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (v19)
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (v20)
Mark 16: 15-20 tells us what we will see when we are preaching the gospel and believing it:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (v15)
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (v16)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (v17)
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (v18)
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (v19)
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (v20)
Further instructions were given to the Church through the Apostle Paul and his co-workers with Hebrews 6:1, 2 giving the 6 principal doctrines of Christ that we teach.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, (v1)
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (v2)
