Your Youth Renewed as the Eagles
What I am going to share in this testimony has been in my spirit for some
time and even has been written for a few weeks and I am just now publishing it.
I pray it will encourage you to believe (trust in) the power of God for every
part of your life. This power is available to anyone who will believe it, because
God is no respecter of persons.
If we are honest with ourselves, we can easily say that we have heard, and
believed, that as a person grows older in years, they also grow older in appearance and
strength. But if you can read the Word of God with any amount of honesty, you will
have to acknowledge and consider the words written in Psalm 103:5, and that is that God
will renew our youth as the eagles. And what makes this possible is the power that
raised Jesus from the dead working in a person's body - the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. You will find that age means nothing to God, for the just shall live by
faith!
It is really amazing when God opens a person's heart to this gospel, how
their entire outlook on life will change from the ways of the world (flesh) to the ways of
God (Spirit). I was talking to a person a while back, and this person told me,
"You can't tell me that plastic surgery isn't the answer to aging because every
person ages." And this person says they believe God. I immediately told
this person that if they believed God and believed this gospel, they would not make such
an absurd statement. If you look in the bible, you will see one example after
another of men and women who walked by faith and believed God, who were 60, 70, 80, 90 and
100 years of age, and the power of God working in their bodies renewed their youth as well
as their strength. Isaiah 40:31 says, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
I continued to tell this person that there was a woman named Sarah, who
around 65 years of age was fair (beautiful) to look upon, and when she was around 90 years
of age she conceived and bare Abraham a son. Today, people that reach the age of 40
are considered 'over the hill', so to speak. Yet if you read the bible, age was
nothing to these people because they were men and women of God who walked by faith and
trusted Him for everything in their lives. You can read about Caleb, who was as
strong at 85 for war, as he was at the age of 40. He and Joshua were the only two
that were able to go in and possess the land of Canaan that God had promised them, because
they both had a right spirit within them; the rest of the people died in the wilderness
because of their unbelief. Moses was another person at the age of 120, whose eyes
were not dim, nor his natural forces abated. I would say that is the power of God
working in a person's body for sure, wouldn't you?
A person would have to be foolish not to believe (trust in, rely on and
adhere to) this power to work in their bodies so that their youth can be renewed as the
eagles. You can believe what the world (Satan) has to say, and all of his lies; but
as for me, I believe the power that raised Jesus from the dead. In Romans 3:4, it
says to let God be true, and every man a liar. Everything that you and I believe
that is not in accordance with the Word of God, is a lie. That may be hard for you
to accept, but that is the truth.
There are so many lies that we grow up hearing and believing in regard to
age; when you reach this age, this will take place in your body, and when you reach that
age, this will start happening to you, etc. And let me tell you, they will even
start manifesting in your body, and it is nothing but the devil trying to put those lies
on you. You will have to resist the devil in faith and believe what Jesus did for
you when He was raised from the dead. You will have to overcome the lies of the
devil, and you will do it by mixing your faith with the gospel and much prayer. God
made these bodies to function perfectly, and not to start falling apart when we reach a
certain age. People say they believe the bible and believe the power of God, but if
you listen to them for any length of time, you can see they believe nothing - but lies!
I have had people say things to me, and it told me where their heart was and what
they believe. But the bible says we will go from strength to strength and faith to
faith - not from strength to weakness and faith to unbelief. And any
weaknesses that you and I have, II Corinthians 12:9 says that His strength is made perfect
in those weaknesses. If we will humble ourselves and believe what Jesus already did
for us when He was raised from the dead, we can walk in total victory in all areas of our
lives - including victory over the so called 'aging process'!
Back in the early to mid 90's when the Jezebel attacked my face (you can
read my testimony on "Determined"), the Lord started
revealing to me Isaiah 52 and 53 - a prophecy about the Lord Jesus. This attack
lasted for a 3-4 year period, until I finally overcame that spirit. I am convinced
that what the Jezebel wanted to do was destroy my appearance, as well as my faith.
And the only reason that spirit was able to attack me was because of the bondage's
in my soul and the imperfection of my faith. During that time, though, the Lord
spoke to me and showed me a scripture in Job 33:25. Needless to say, it did
encourage me about getting through this attack. It says, "His flesh shall be
fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:..." You
know, I do not remember reading until now, the next verse, which says, "He shall pray
unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy:
for he will render unto man his righteousness." It came up in my spirit
to go there right now, and obviously it was to see that next verse also. Praise God!
Anyway, getting back to what I was sharing -- God was saying to me back then, He
was going to make my flesh fresher than a child's and return me to the days of my youth;
and I have and will continue to get more and more to that place by believing the power
that raised Jesus from the dead. Amen.
I absolutely have no intention of limiting what the power of God can do in
my life. Yes, I have had my share of doubt and unbelief, and at times, the pressure
has been overwhelming. But the solution to that has been praying (believing) and
mixing my faith with the gospel; also reading the Psalms and New Testament out loud daily.
Any person who has a determination to overcome the world, can. It states in I
John 5:4, "...and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our
faith." You will have to fight (in prayer) powers, principalities, rulers of
the darkness of this world and wicked spirits, because Ephesians 6 tells us this is what
we will wrestle with. You will have to overcome curses in your life, religious
spirits that you were raised under, as well as doubt and unbelief (in your soul).
But God has made a way for us to walk blameless before Him and in complete soundness
in our spirit, body and soul - and the death, burial and resurrection power (the gospel)
is that way.
I would encourage you today to believe what this gospel did through the
body of our Lord Jesus, and see God's power manifest in your body (your life) as well.
You might go read Isaiah 52:13-15 and Isaiah 53. There is not one thing that
this gospel has not already accomplished when Jesus was raised from the dead. He
overcame (conquered) death and hell, and that is why there is hope for you and for me in
whatever situation we are in right now for salvation to work. And remember - God
will renew your youth as the eagles, if you will believe this gospel!
